Sodium Bisuphite

Sodium bisulphate has chemical formula NaHSO4, sodium bisulphate can be formed by reacting sodium nitrate with sulfuric acid that will form sodium bisulphate as obsolete reaction. If the reaction is fully completed will formed sodium sulfate.

Sodium bisulphate can also formed when salt is moderately heated with sulfuric acid, the reaction formula can be drawn as follows:

NaCl + H2SO4 ----> NaHSO4 + HCl

The major uses of sodium bisuphate are in the manufacture of acid type toilet bowl cleaners and for material cleaning and metal pickling. Minor uses are in dye baths, carbonizing wool and various chemical processes. Sodium bisulfate also use technical grade applications for metal finishing, cleaning products, and to lower the pH of water for efective chlorination, including swimming pools.

Sodium bisulfate also approved as a general use feed additive, including companion animal food. It is used as urine acidifier to reduce urinary stones in cats. Grade sodium bisulfate is ued in a variety of food products, including baverages, dressings, sauces, and fillings.
